I personally was drawn to AOZ because it is powerful - yet has "clear syntax". Which is something that should not be underestimated & is sorely missing these days. As Einstein said, "it takes a genius to make something simple." I created a working graphical model of a business idea in one day on AOZ... Scratch was not right for this, and unity/python/javascript too complex/steep learning curve. AOZ was the perfect tool.    I'm no professional programmer but with AOZ I feel like I can now create anything that I can imagine, and that feels great grin creatively empowered.

I think the simplicity of what AMOS & STOS is for the classic Amigas to be able to code with few simple commands and all the heavy lifting is done for your is the best thing i always found about it, just add your imagination and anything is achievable. So to have this on windows and can work across multiple platforms is great indeed for AOZ

I got my first sprite made last night, following the mouse and rotating. So simple but so exciting!!! I fully believe in AOZ, its potential & the gap in the market (& kids lives) for it.   I showed the game I made a few days ago to a 19 year old genius who is a very skilled programmer in all modern languages - then I showed him the AOZ source code (about 15 lines) and told him that I published it with one click & that it will eventually work cross platform... His jaw hit the floor & he was truly amazed. Said it was an amazing "innovation". His generation only know complex code & the need for multiple languages & disciplines just to build anything at all.

I'm quite happy to program in old AMOS mode inside AOZ, And not have any benefits just retro feel. So I found peace in that aspect of it at least. I have managed to achieve some amazing results in a simple space time with AOZ..

I was looking for such a tool for years! Computers easy to use finally. I am not a Pro developer, but I need to create apps and wished to do games with my kids. AOZ is truly unbelievable as you dive into so much powerful instructions. To me the game changer is to finally be able to code with a 12 years old and generate JavaScript that we can play on any devices.

When I got a PC I really missed having an easy programming language. I tried a few, like Blitz Basic, and Python (which I didn't like), and I've always found things like C to be REALLY ugly with all the brackets everywhere. ​Then I heard that Francois was bringing AMOS back. Now it's called AOZ and at the time of writing (during Beta testing) is very usable (I've made games and demos in it), and is so easy to use, fast, and fun, that I'm switching off my PS4 to program an Arkanoid game, a particle explosion firework…. Anyone who thinks it might be fun to make a game, application, or just mess about making things happen on the screen should give it a go.

 I am not a professional software engineer. I am a home coder. I first discovered and quickly fell in love with the Amiga programming language Amos. I've tried some other languages, but none have been as easy for me to use as Amos. Although Microsoft Visual Basic is good for business applications, I've been struggling to use it to write games for my grandchildren. It just wasn't designed for it! When I heard that Francois Lionet, the genius behind Amos was going to start work on AOZ that would run on all modern software platforms I set up a modest monthly Patreon transfer to try to support his work. At the moment I want to help in Beta testing AOZ and writing tutorials for newcomers. I am loving it! The anticipated feature range of AOZ is stunning.

I wanted to write a retro text adventure game again, based on the Infocom and Zork. Something that would not not only have Text input, but Pictures and Sounds & Background music along with Mudmaps and Worldmaps. I had used many different programs but the complexity of the coding styles..., it is no fun typing 20 lines just to print something, or half a page figuring out how to move a sprite across the screen or setup scrolling routines etc. AOZStudio has the ability to be able to write a professional written multi part include source coded game with thousands of lines of code (mine is 60 000 lines), with the simplicity of simple word Instructions and not having to worry about, how my graphics are going to get to the screen or how my sound is played or joysticks & mice read, to even how im going to get a cursor in a text field for keyboard input and screen printing, leaving me with in my case, only really the story line to worry about, it is a joy indeed and all this which will automatically as well run in a Scalable web browser for me. Highly recommended.
